Sitting idle

in the twilight

waiting ... watching ...

for the night life to come alive

Oh dinner time

Here I come!

This fella was lying across the top of my clothes line and nearly scared me half to death when I nearly bumped into him (I get loads of snakes in my garden).  He loves sunning himself on the rocks in my garden, and he stayed on the clothes line until the next day when the sun came up!

30 Word Thursday - Hungry!

Hungry

A flurry of colour

All colours of the rainbow

Bright and beautiful their wings outstretched

Their voices whistling in excitement

In anticipation of their nightly feed

Of Sunflower Seeds

These photos were taken at a house I recently stayed where the Rainbow Lorrikeets would gather every evening for their daily feed.  There would be close to 100 every night as well as the myriad collection of cockatoos, galahs, kingfishers and other stunning birds.  These guys were real characters and never failed to entertain!
