Every year in August, the Ekka rolls into town (http://www.ekka.com.au/about-ekka/history.aspx). This Agricultural show is currently going through a revival period however has a rich history dating back to the 1800's in Queensland.
This year I have decided to take the plunge and enter my first show ... today I submitted a loomed cuff entry (Arts and Craft) which incorporates a mixed medium combination of seed beads and metal clay.
Here is Tzigane (French for Gypsy). Thank you to Tayla who had naming rights!
You've done a beautiful job. I really love it - the colors, the textures - just perfect.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful, Caron! Best wishes for a blue ribbon!! I just added your blod to my list. I didn't know until this morning that you had one. See you on BLI! Sandy
ReplyDeletethat is lovely. the metal clay parts mesh well with the seed beads you have chosen
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your lovely words and comments!
ReplyDeleteI love this! Fabulous looming and a really stunning clasp!
ReplyDeleteWhen do you find out about the judging?
Thanks Ness - I'm not sure, when asked they didn't have an answer. I'm dipping my toes in the water this year to see how things go.
