Miss Erin from Treasures Found is hosting the 3rd Annual Challenge of Colour. For the past couple of years I have watched as participants have combined their talent with their imagination meeting the challenge set. So this year I am one of the 80 participants! Erin has joined forces with Brandi Hussey the awesome palette guru, they collaborated using pictures from earth art to create the palettes for the challenge.
I was sent two palettes, however couldn't resist the depth of the colours of Mississippi Delta!
After playing around with colours over the past couple of weeks - this is the result, I'll let the pictures do the talking. The art bead is by the wonderful Vanessa from Bead Up A Storm
Please visit the other participants blogs! You will be engrossed and amazed at the range of the colour spectrums and the incredible talent that has joined this years challenge!

I adore the second to the last picture, offering a back lit view. Caron, your pieces are always flawless and show the perfection in every stitch. I love the style of the cuff, but then....look at the gorgeous color way! You go girl!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Erin, I have learnt so much from you and was thrilled I could incorporate those learnings in this design! xo
ReplyDeleteSuch a fantastic rendition of this color palette which is so fresh! You did SO much beautiful stitching - Bravo! JLynn
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love your bracelet. Your beadwork is always such a treat! I love how you used the colors in the palette and blended them so well together.
ReplyDeleteYou really matched the colours so perfectly. Fantastic work on a gorgeous piece. Andrea
ReplyDeleteWow! So mich work and love went into your piece. Stunning.
ReplyDeleteTruly fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWow!!! That is super pretty! Love everything about it.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great beadwork. I would never be able to do anything like that.
ReplyDeleteAmbra
Oh my...stunning...STUNNING! There is no way I would ever be able to have my bead strands match in length to a make cohesive "anything" - especially bracelet! Love the colors and your bead choices. This is one of my favorites on the hop!
ReplyDeleteLove your creation, Caron... such a beautiful pairing of the beads with that lovely focal! Really amazing work!
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous beadwork you do. Your creation is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous piece - the colors just lure me in...
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with your colors.
ReplyDeleteCaron, I just love this color palette! This is one that I have used without even knowing it many times. I love the turquoise/aqua combo. Love how you combined different shapes in your beadwork. To me, it really brings in that organic nature that is our earth. Just beautiful!
ReplyDelete{Hugs!}
Dawn
Wow! What a stunning bracelet! I'm in awe of your beadwork, and I absolutely love how well it picks up on the palette. The change in colors is superb!
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along!
This is stunning! I love it. A lot of work but worth the effort. You can be very proud of this one.
ReplyDeleteOh WOW, WOW!!!! I love this!! This was one of my favorite palettes, love the blues and greens together. I simply love your cuffs and this is just another stunning beauty!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful bead stitching! I love this palette, too!
ReplyDeleteThe art bead was a nice touch to the whole design. It is just so pretty to look at.
ReplyDeleteI love this cuff! The colors translated beautifully and your bead work is amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your cuff bracelet...amazing beadwork! All those little seed beads would get away from me.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous piece!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow - a beautiful piece! I love how perfectly you matched the colours of the beads to your palette!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. Excellent cuff, i am in cuff envy.
ReplyDeleteThis is really beautiful. I especially like all the space included in your design so it doesn't have the heavy appearance of some bead weaving. It's a beautiful representation of your palette
ReplyDeleteCaron, Love your cuff! You had a beautiful color palette to work from & your cuff definitely does it justice!!!! You've inspired me to try something new! Thanks for the kind words and checking out my blog.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a lot of work! I am in awe of what people do with seed beads. They are never the star in my designs. (I just can't see them that well, and I have big oafish clumsy fingers! ;-) I love the intricate details in this piece and the colors are perfect in that focal for this palette! So glad you took the plunge and joined us this time in the Challenge Miss Caron! Enjoy the day. Erin
ReplyDeleteWow! What great beadwork. It really captures the texture of your palette and your colors are dead on. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for your thoughts and encouragement, it was a great blog hop to be a part of and it was wonderful to meet all of you x
